Forklift Market Status

A forklift is an industrial handling vehicle, which refers to various wheeled handling vehicles for loading, unloading, stacking and short-distance transportation of palletized goods. It is widely used in ports, stations, airports, freight yards, factory workshops, warehouses, circulation centers and distribution centers, etc. It can enter the cabin, carriage and container to load, unload and transport palletized goods. It is an indispensable equipment for pallet transportation and container transportation.
my country's forklift manufacturing industry has emerged from the predicament of declining sales since the fourth quarter of 2009. In 2010, it achieved a full recovery in the domestic market and demonstrated its strength with a leapfrog development attitude.
According to the data of the "2013-2017 China Forklift Manufacturing Industry Production and Sales Demand Forecast and Transformation and Upgrading Analysis Report", in 2010, my country achieved a forklift sales volume (including exports) of 232,409 units, a year-on-year increase of 67.31%. Among them, 22,960 electric counterbalanced forklifts were sold, 7,502 electric ride-on warehouse forklifts were sold, 22,280 electric walk-behind warehouse forklifts were sold, and 179,667 internal combustion counterbalanced forklifts were sold. Domestic sales in China were about 190,000 units, an increase of about 70% compared with 111,350 units in 2009; export sales were about 40,000 units, an increase of about 60% compared with 27,555 units in 2009.
Overseas market situation of my country's forklifts
In 2007, China's forklift sales reached 139,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 30%; 47,000 forklifts were exported, a year-on-year increase of 78%, and exports accounted for about 34% of sales; and the contribution rate of export growth to sales growth reached 65%.
In 2007, global forklift sales reached 907,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 10%. The regional composition of consumption is as follows: Europe accounts for about 40% of the world forklift market; followed by the North American (US + Canada) market, about 21%; China's market share has exceeded 11%; Japan's share does not exceed 10%; the rest of the world's share is close to 16%.
Internal combustion counterbalanced forklifts account for about 80% of sales in my country, while electric forklifts account for more than 50% of global forklift sales. This is because electric forklifts have become mainstream products in the forklift markets of Europe, the United States and Japan. Due to factors such as my country's lower environmental protection requirements, more frequent forklift operations, harsher operating environments and operating costs, my country's forklift demand will still tend to use internal combustion forklifts for a long time.
In the global forklift market, Toyota and Linde are far ahead, with annual sales revenue exceeding US$5 billion; while Ancha and Hangcha dominate the domestic forklift market, with a combined market share of more than 50%.
Due to the fact that my country's forklift exports still account for a relatively low proportion of overseas markets, the outstanding cost-effectiveness and the export impulse of domestic enterprises caused by export tax rebates, it is expected that China's forklift exports will continue to maintain a relatively fast growth rate in the future, with a compound growth rate of no less than 30% before 2010. In the next three years, the annual growth rate of domestic forklift sales is expected to remain above 20%, and the dependence on overseas markets will increase. Exports have become the main driving force for sales growth.

Safety requirements for forklift work
1. The door frame shall not be deformed or welded. The rolling clearance of the inner and outer door frames shall be adjusted reasonably and shall not be greater than 1.5mm. The roller shall rotate flexibly, and the roller and shaft shall be free of cracks and defects. The wear of the wheel groove shall not be greater than 10% of the original size.
2. The tension of the two lifting chains should be uniform, without distortion and deformation, the end connection should be firm, and the pitch of the chain should not exceed 4% of the original length, otherwise the chain should be replaced. The sprocket should rotate flexibly.
3. The fork frame should not have serious deformation and weld debonding. There should be no cracks or weld opening on the surface of the fork. The root angle of the fork should not be greater than 93°, and the thickness should not be less than 90% of the original size. The height difference between the left and right fork tips should not exceed 3% of the horizontal length of the fork. The fork positioning should be reliable, the supporting surface and positioning surface of the fork hook should not have obvious defects, the matching clearance between the fork and the fork frame should not be too large, and the movement should be smooth.
4. The connection between the lifting cylinder and the mast should be firm, and the hinge between the tilting cylinder and the mast and frame should be firm and flexible, and the matching clearance should not be too large. The cylinder should be well sealed, crack-free, and work smoothly. Under the rated load, the self-sinking amount of the mast in 10 minutes is not more than 20mm, and the inclination angle is not more than 0.5°. The lifting speed should not be less than half of the standard value when fully loaded.
5. The overhead guard and shelf guard must be complete and effective.
6. It is strictly forbidden to stand on the upper and lower sides of the forklift, and it is not allowed to use a single forklift to pick up goods that are too high to be loaded.
7. Equipped with a forklift driver with a forklift driver's license to avoid multiple drivers for one forklift.
